Famous Apple Dumplings

My cousin shared this simple, fast recipe with me. I finally decided to give it a try and I love it.

Enjoy, but do not blame me for the sugar coma!!!

2 or 3
granny smith apples
2 stick
butter, melted
sm cans of crescents rolls
1 1/2 c
white sugar
1 Tbsp
vanilla extract
1 c
mt dew
ground cinnamon


1Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Peel and core apples. Cut each apple into approximately 6 pieces
Roll at least one piece of apple into each crescent roll
Melt butter sticks in saucepan
Pour sugar and vanilla into pan with butter. Minimal stirring, should be lumpy
Pour mixture evenly over crescent rolls
Pour Mt Dew around corners of pan
Sprinkle cinnamon on top (You may also use nutmeg)
Bake for 40 minutes
Pour the most amazing, fatting juice you will ever taste from the bottom of the pan on top of the dumplings.
2add some ice cream on the side as an extra bonus
