easy fruit cobbler

This is a recipe a fellow employee gave me years ago when we had one of our monthly pot-luck lunches. It was just so simple and delicious that I haven't made a cobbler the "old-fashioned" way in years.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 cups baking mix (pioneer or bisquick)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large (#2 1/2) can peaches with juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar

How To Make easy fruit cobbler

  • Step 1
    Melt butter in 9 x 13 baking dish in oven.
  • Step 2
    Mix baking mix, sugar and milk in a medium bowl.
  • Step 3
    Pour batter in pan with melted butter.
  • Step 4
    Spoon peaches and juice over batter (pour any extra juice over the batter also). Do not stir.
  • Step 5
    Combine brown sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over top of mixture.
  • Step 6
    Bake for 1 hour at 350 F.
  • Step 7
    Serve warm with ice cream, whipped topping or just plain.
