This is a recipe a fellow employee gave me years ago when we had one of our monthly pot-luck lunches. It was just so simple and delicious that I haven't made a cobbler the "old-fashioned" way in years.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 2 c
    baking mix (pioneer or bisquick)
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 large
    (#2 1/2) can peaches with juice
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    brown sugar

How to Make Easy Fruit Cobbler

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt butter in 9 x 13 baking dish in oven.
  2. Mix baking mix, sugar and milk in a medium bowl.
  3. Pour batter in pan with melted butter.
  4. Spoon peaches and juice over batter (pour any extra juice over the batter also). Do not stir.
  5. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over top of mixture.
  6. Bake for 1 hour at 350 F.
  7. Serve warm with ice cream, whipped topping or just plain.
