We had mixed berry filling with blueberries and strawberries for our 4th of July dessert. My sister's next request -- cherry pie filling with peaches!

Ingredients

  • 2 cans pie filling
  • 2 cups fresh, frozen or canned fruit
  • 3/4 cup melted margarine, divided
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 1/2 cups milk

How To Make easy cobbler

  • Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour 1/4 cup melted margarine in bottom of 13x9 cake pan.
  • Step 2
In a medium bowl, mix the remaining 1/2 cup melted margarine, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and milk. Whisk together until smooth.
  • Step 3
In another bowl, combine the pie filling and fruit.
  • Step 4
Pour the batter in the 13x9 pan over the melted margarine. Spoon fruit on top of batter. Don't stir; the fruit will go to the bottom and the batter will rise to the top.
  • Step 5
Bake until golden brown and the fruit is bubbling - 60 to 70 minutes, depending on your oven.
  • Step 6
Serve warm or at room temperature. Refrigerate leftovers.
