Sherry said her daughter, Nicole van Grinsven Clem, made this in her pre-school class, back in the 80s, on George Washington's Birthday. It was printed on a silhouette of Washington's head. I think that is such a cute idea.

- 2 21 oz cans cherry pie filling
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- whipped cream, optional
- vanilla ice cream, optional

Step 1Oven to 350 degrees. Pour pie filling into 9x13. Combine flour and butter with pastry blender or fork. Add sugar, brown sugar and cinnamon. Mix well, sprinkle over cherries. Bake 30 min. If desired, serve with whipped cream or as a topping for vanilla ice cream.
