Tha cake mix gives this yummy crisp a denseness that I like. It's a quick way to make apple crisp when you don't have the time for one with lots of ingredients.

6 large apples, peeled, cored, sliced
1 cup water
1 box white cake mix, i used pillsbury
1 cup packed, light brown sugar
1-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup melted butter

How To Make easy cake mix apple crisp

Step 1

Heat oven to 350. Spray a 9" x 13" baking dish w/ cooking spray. Place apple slices in an even layer in baking dish.

Step 2

Pour water over apples. In bowl, mix together cake mix, brown sugar and cinnamon. Stir in butter until crumbly.
Step 3

Sprinkle cake mixture evenly over apples and water. Bake 30 mins or until bubbly.
