My daughter gave me this recipe, and it's so easy to make and so yummy, I just had to share it.

  • 1/2 c
  • 1/4 c
  • 1 tsp
  • 2 Tbsp
    softened butter, divided
  • 1/8 tsp
    ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 c
    light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1
    refrigerated pie crust
  • 4 small
    granny smith apples, peeled and cored

How to Make Easy apple dumplings


  1. Heat oven to 375. Lightly spray a 8"-square baking pan w/ cooking spray. In small saucepan, combine water, white sugar, vanilla, 1 tbsp butter and nutmeg. Boil over high heat for 1 min, set aside.
  2. In bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon and 1 tbsp butter, mix well. Unroll pastry and cut into quarters.
  3. Stuff each apple cavity w/ brown sugar mix. Place each apple on a quarter of pastry. Fold pastry up, around apple. Pinch ends to seal. Place apples, seam-side down into pan. Pour sugar sauce over apples. Bake 45 mins or until golden. Serve warm, drizzled w/ sugar sauce.
