I just love apple desserts and this one is no exception. Very simple to throw together, and tasty to boot! Enjoy with a scoop of ice cream. Yum!!

Ingredients For easy apple crumble

    tart apples, i use granny smith or braeburn
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 3/4 c
    flour
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    butter, cold

How To Make easy apple crumble

    Preheat the oven to 375 degree F.

    Peel and core the apples. Cut the apples into thick slices and place in an ungreased baking dish. I use a 9 inch round or square baking dish.

    Combine the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg together in another bowl and mix until well blended. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the apple slices.

    Combine the flour, brown sugar, and butter together in another bowl until the mixture has a crumbly texture. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apples and then place the crumble in the preheated oven.

    Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until apples are tender when poked and the topping is golden brown and crispy.

    Remove from the oven and serve while warm. Serve with a scoop of ice cream or some cream.
