Ingredients

  • 6 - tart apples, i use granny smith or braeburn
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, cold

How To Make easy apple crumble

  • Step 1
Preheat the oven to 375 degree F.
  • Step 2
Peel and core the apples. Cut the apples into thick slices and place in an ungreased baking dish. I use a 9 inch round or square baking dish.
  • Step 3
Combine the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg together in another bowl and mix until well blended. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the apple slices.
  • Step 4
Combine the flour, brown sugar, and butter together in another bowl until the mixture has a crumbly texture. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apples and then place the crumble in the preheated oven.
  • Step 5
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until apples are tender when poked and the topping is golden brown and crispy.
  • Step 6
Remove from the oven and serve while warm. Serve with a scoop of ice cream or some cream.
