This recipe originated from Rachael Ray - I just made a couple of minor changes. I like this recipe because it's simple, quick, and VERY tasty!!

Ingredients

  • 5 cups granny smith apples (~4 lg or 5 med)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, light
  • 4 tablespoons butter

How To Make easy apple crisp

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 400 degrees and grease 9x9 square baking pan.
  • Step 2
    Peel and chop apples into 1/2 inch chunks.
  • Step 3
    Mix lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon & nutmeg in a bowl - add apples and stir until coated. Place in baking pan.
  • Step 4
    Mix flour, brown sugar, and butter with a fork until crumbly. Sprinkle over top of apple mixture.
  • Step 5
    Bake 15-20 minutes.
