My husband LOVES this dessert. I really enjoy making it as often as I can. Great with or without the nuts. We normally don't have ice cream in the house and it's great without the ice cream too. It's a recipe I found on the Internet that someone had for many years. I'm sure it will become one of your favorites too.

  • 5 medium
    apples, pared, cored and sliced (about 5 cups)
  • 1 can(s)
    (14oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 c
    cold margarine or 1/2 cup butter plus 2 tbl cold margarine or 2tbl butter
  • 1 1/2 c
    biscuit mix
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c
    chopped nuts. ( i used pecans )

How to Make Dutch Apple Dessert


  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. In medium bowl, combine apples, sweetened condensed milk and cinnamon.
  3. In large bowl, cut 1/2 cup Butter into 1 cup Buscuit Mix until crumbly.
  4. Stir in Apple mixture
  5. Pour into greased 9-inch square baking pan.
  6. In small bowl, combine remaining 1/2 cup Biscuit Mix and Sugar; cut in remaining 2 TBL Butter until crumbly.
  7. Add Nuts.
  8. Sprinkle evenly over Apple Mixture.
  9. Bake 1 Hour or until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm with Ice Cream.
