My husband LOVES this dessert. I really enjoy making it as often as I can. Great with or without the nuts. We normally don't have ice cream in the house and it's great without the ice cream too. It's a recipe I found on the Internet that someone had for many years. I'm sure it will become one of your favorites too. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 5 medium apples, pared, cored and sliced (about 5 cups)
  • 1 can (14oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup cold margarine or 1/2 cup butter plus 2 tbl cold margarine or 2tbl butter
  • 1 1/2 cups biscuit mix
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts. ( i used pecans )

How To Make dutch apple dessert

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Step 2
    In medium bowl, combine apples, sweetened condensed milk and cinnamon.
  • Step 3
    In large bowl, cut 1/2 cup Butter into 1 cup Buscuit Mix until crumbly.
  • Step 4
    Stir in Apple mixture
  • Step 5
    Pour into greased 9-inch square baking pan.
  • Step 6
    In small bowl, combine remaining 1/2 cup Biscuit Mix and Sugar; cut in remaining 2 TBL Butter until crumbly.
  • Step 7
    Add Nuts.
  • Step 8
    Sprinkle evenly over Apple Mixture.
  • Step 9
    Bake 1 Hour or until golden brown.
  • Step 10
    Serve warm with Ice Cream.
