double berry delite cobbler!

This mouth watering recipe was born when I needed a dessert for my church potluck. Not just any dessert but an outstanding one! I added the muffin mix because I wanted my cobbler to taste more down home delicious and a little less sweet. BIG HIT! I hope you enjoy it also!

Ingredients

  • 9 cups mixed berries, fresh or frozen
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 package 6.5 oz. triple berry muffin mix, betty crocker
  • 11/2 sticks melted butter
  • 1/4-1/2 cup milk

How To Make double berry delite cobbler!

  • Step 1
    Mix first four ingredients in a large bowl and let it sit for an hour or until a good amount of juice forms.
  • Step 2
    Mix all remaining ingredients adding enough milk to make moist enough to drop by spoonfuls onto berries and juice. Just enough to make sure all dry mix is moist.
  • Step 3
    Pour berries and juice into a 11x14 pan. Drop dough by tablespoons over berries to mostly cover all berries and juice.
  • Step 4
    Bake at 350 for 50 minutes or until dough is golden brown. May take longer. Remove from oven and serve with vanilla bean ice cream!
