dew the apples (dumplings)
My sister gave this recipe to me on one of my visits to Birmingham. I was raised in northern Alabama--I thought I had had apples every way possible--Well think again--My children want me to take this to every function we have--This is a MUST--So Easy.

Ingredients
- 4 - granny smith apples (peeled, cored & quartered)
- 2 packages crescent rolls
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 sticks butter, melted
- - cinnamon
- - vanilla extract
- 1-12oz can mountain dew
How To Make dew the apples (dumplings)

Step 1Wrap each apple quarter in a crescent roll-place wide side down in 9x13 pan.

Step 2Melt the butter then add sugar & vanilla.(do not cook) Pour mixture all over the crescent apples.

Step 3Pour Mountain Dew over crescent apples & mixture. Sprinkle HEAVILY with Cinnamon.

Step 4Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot or cold--it doesn't matter ENJOY
