How to Make Creeping Crust Cobbler
- For Crust: Melt butter in a 9-inch deep-dish pie plate or a 8x8x2-inch baking dish in the oven. Remove and set aside. In a small bowl mix together the flour, sugar and baking powder, add the milk and mix well. Spoon mixture over the melted butter in pie plate; set aside.
- For Fruit Filling: In a small saucepan, mix sugar and fruit and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and spoon over the dough mixture. Don't just dump it in the middle, make sure to spread it around.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes, or until crust is golden brown.
Serve topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of sweetened whipped cream, if desired.
