I tweaked this from a recipe I found in a binder I have. Sorry, don't remember where it came from (it was hand written). Hope you like it, though :)

*Note* The original called for rasberry jam, but I guess you could use any kind you like.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 2/3 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1 1/2 c
    quick cooking oats (not instant)
  • 1 c
    almonds, chopped
  • 1 c
    craisins
  • 1/2 c
    orange marmalade

How to Make Cranberry Orange Bars

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large bowl,beat together butter and brown sugar.
  2. Stir in flour, oats and almonds.
    Reserve 1 cup of this mixture.
  3. Press remaining mixture into 8 inch greased pan.
  4. In a small bowl, combine craisins and orange marmalade.
    Spread on bottom oat mixture.
  5. Sprinkle with reserved oat mixture.

    Bake:375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
  6. Take out of oven and let sit until completly cooled.

    Cut into even bars.
