My kids never liked the taste of cranberry sauces or relishes- but...it's Thanksgiving and you've gotta have cranberries. Found this recipe (don't remember where-I'm old LOL) My kids love it, and so do I-but, they put cool whip on top

Ingredients For cranberry mousse

1 lgpkg. jello- sherry,strawberry or raspberry (i like cherry)

1/4 cboiling water

1 8oz. cancrushed pineapple w/ juice-not drained

1 tsplemon juice

1/4 tspnutmeg
-
1/2 cgranulated sugar
-
1 canwholeberry cranberry sauce

1 pkg16 oz. sour cream
-
1/2 cchopped pecans ,may be toasted (optional)
How To Make cranberry mousse

1combine first 7 ingredients in saucepan over med. heat,stir until cranberry sauce is melted and incorporated.

2refrigerate until it has started to set-place in blender,add sour cream and nuts and pulse until sour cream shows no white lumps- refrigerate,in serving bowl or mold until set,but with the smooth consistency of mousse
