1 1/2 c
quick cooking rolled oats
3/4 c
brown sugar
1 tsp
finely shredded lemon peel
1/4 tsp
baking soda
3/4 c
margarine or butter
1 can(s)
(16 oz) cranberry sauce
1/4 c
finely chopped pecans or walnuts

How to Make Cranberry Bars


  • 1In large mixing bowl stir together the flour oats, brown sugar, lemon peel and baking soda. Stir in margarine or butter, mix well. Reserve 1 cup for top. Pat remaining mix in ungreased 12x7x2" pan.
    Bake 350 df for 20 minutes.
  • 2Spread sauce atop of crust. Stir nuts into reserved mix, sprinkle on top cranberry sauce. Lightly pat oat mix into sauce. Bake 25-30 minutes more. Cool in pan.
    Makes 24 bars.
