My daughter Paige and I were wondering what to do with slightly stale cereal. Instead of the same ole topping we used her cereal.

Ingredients

  • 7-8
    baking apples peeled and cut-up into small pieces
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice over apples for non-browning
  • 1/4 c
    light brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1/3 c
    flour
  • 1/3 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 c
    broken up cinnamon toast crunch cereal
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter, cut-up in small pieces

How to Make Cinnamon Toast Crunch Apple Crisp

Step-by-Step

  1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Butter 9 inch glass dish. Place in chopped apples. Mix all above ingredients except butter. Spread over apples. Place small pieces of butter over the cereal coating. Bake for 30-45 min. depending on your oven until topping is crunchy. Cool or serve warm with a scoop of ice cream.
