This lovely, light pear dessert is simple, yet so refined. Baked in a little butter and brown sugar the pears alone are delish. Then they're topped with a dollop of a cinnamon mascarpone cheese mixture that's smooth and creamy. When done you could sprinkle these with a little more cinnamon and chopped nuts if you'd like.

Ingredients

  • 2 - medium ripe pears
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup white grape or apple juice
  • 6 tablespoons mascarpone cheese
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

How To Make cinnamon mascarpone baked pears

  • Pears cut in half and cored.
    Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375. Halve pears lengthwise and core.
  • Brown sugar and butter placed in core of the pear.
    Step 2
    Place cored side up in a medium baking dish. Spoon 1/2 tsp brown sugar and 1/2 tsp butter into each cavity.
  • Pouring juice into the baking dish.
    Step 3
    Pour the juice into the baking dish.
  • Pears baked until tender.
    Step 4
    Bake for 25 minutes or until pears are tender.
  • Mascarpone cheese, sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl.
    Step 5
    In a bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, sugar, and cinnamon.
  • Mascarpone mixture added to the warm pears.
    Step 6
    Top each pear half with 1 1/2 tablespoons of the cheese mixture and serve warm.
