I came up with this because I had apples in the fridge that were too soft for traditional baked apples.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup whisky, red-hot cinnamon
- 8 small apples
- 1/3 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
- 2 tablespoons apple pie spice
- 3 tablespoons butter, cold
- - vanilla ice cream
How To Make cinnamon baked apples

Step 1Pour whisky over raisins; let soak.

Step 2Preheat oven to 350 F.

Step 3Peel, core, and cut apples in eigths. Place in a 2-quart casserole dish.

Step 4Sprinkle brown sugar and apple pie spice over apple mixture; mix well so apples are well coated.

Step 5Pour whisky and raisins over apple mixture. Mix well.

Step 6Cut butter into bits. Sprinkle randomly over apple mixture. Cover.

Step 7Bake for about 20 minutes (apples should be soft).

Step 8Serve hot over vanilla ice cream.
