I came up with this because I had apples in the fridge that were too soft for traditional baked apples.

1/2 c
1/2 c
whisky, red-hot cinnamon
8 small
1/3 c
brown sugar, lightly packed
2 Tbsp
apple pie spice
3 Tbsp
butter, cold
vanilla ice cream

How to Make Cinnamon Baked Apples


  • 1Pour whisky over raisins; let soak.
  • 2Preheat oven to 350 F.
  • 3Peel, core, and cut apples in eigths. Place in a 2-quart casserole dish.
  • 4Sprinkle brown sugar and apple pie spice over apple mixture; mix well so apples are well coated.
  • 5Pour whisky and raisins over apple mixture. Mix well.
  • 6Cut butter into bits. Sprinkle randomly over apple mixture. Cover.
  • 7Bake for about 20 minutes (apples should be soft).
  • 8Serve hot over vanilla ice cream.
