How to Make Cinnamon Apple Crisp

  • 1Preheat oven to 375. Grease bottom & sides of a 8x8 square pan with shortening.
  • 2In a small bowl, mix together 1/8 C of sugar and 1/4 tsp cinnamon. Toss together with the peeled, sliced apples until coated evenly. Spread apples in the bottom of the pan.
  • 3Mix together all topping ingredients except butter. Once mixed, add butter and mix well - I find it easiest to use my hands to incorporate the butter into the mixture. Sprinkle evenly over apple mixture.
  • 4Bake about 30 minutes at 375 until topping is golden brown. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.
