This is a recipe that has been in our family for years. I think it actually came off of the side of a cake mix.When Fall arrives this is one of the first things that is baked in my kitchen.

Ingredients For kitty’s apple crisp (one we always use)

2 can21 oz @ comstock apples

1 boxduncan hines white cake mix
-
1 cfirmly packed brown sugar

1/2 cmelted butter
-
1 tspcinnamon
-
whipped topping or vanilla ice cream
How To Make kitty’s apple crisp (one we always use)

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2Arrange both cans of apples in ungreased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan.

3Combine cake mix, brown sugar, melted butter and cinnamon. Stir til thoroughly blended. ( Mixture will be crumbly.)

4Sprinkle crumbly mixture over the apples. Bake for 50-55 minutes or til lightened browned and bubbly. Serve warm with whipped topping or ice cream.
