    apples peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 c
    rolled oats
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c
    almonds, crushed
  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 2 c
    butter chilled
  • 2 c
    milk chocolate chips
  • ·
    reynolds wrap nonstick foil

How to Make cinnamon almond apple crisp

Step-by-Step

  1. Place 2 sheets of foil on a work surface one on top of the other to double the thickness. Place sliced apples in center of foil. Drizzle with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  2. In bowl of electric mixer combine oats, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon. Beat in butter until mixture forms coarse crumbs. Stir in chocolate chips and almonds then spoon over apples.
  3. Bring up sides of foil to form a sealed pouch. Bake at 400 for 30-35 minutes. Open pouch and spoon dessert into serving dishes. Serve with vanilla bean ice cream if desired.
