Ingredients For cherry streusel lasagna

  • 4 uncooked lasagna noodles
  • streusel, recipe follows
  • 2 pkg. cream cheese, softened, 8 oz. each
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp. almond extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can cherry pie filling, 21 oz
  • streusel:
  • 1/4 cup quick cooking or old fashioned oats
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 3 tbsp. margarine, butter or spread, softened
  • 1 tbsp. flour

How To Make cherry streusel lasagna

    Heat oven to 325. Grease 11 x 7 inch dish. Cook and drain noodles as direct on package. Prepare Streusel by mixing all ingredients until crumbly; set aside. Beat cream cheese and sugar in medium bowl with mixer on medium speed about 30 seconds or until fluffy. Beat in milk., almond extract and eggs on low speed, about 30 second or until smooth. Spread about 1/2 cup of the pie filling in baking dish. Top with 2 noodles. Pour half of cream cheese mixture (about 1 1/2 cups) over noodles. Spread half of the remaining pie filling (about 3/4 cup) over cream cheese mixture. Repeat layers, starting with remaining 2 noodles. Sprinkle with streusel. Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 15 minutes. Serve warm or cool. Cover and refrigerate any remaining dessert.
