  • 1 stick
  • 1 c
  • 1 c
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 3/4 c
  • 1 can(s)
    pitted cherries (red sour or dark sweet)
  • 1/4* c
    sugar * (1/2 c if u use sour cherries)

How to Make Cherry Madness


  1. Melt butter in 9" square pan. In bowl, combine sugar, flour, baking powder and milk. Mix until well blended.
  2. Pour over melted butter; DO NOT STIR.
  3. Pour undrained cherries over batter; DO NOT STIR.
  4. Sprinkle sugar over cherries; DO NOT STIR.
    Bake at 325 for 1 hour.
  5. Serve warm with whipped cream, or chilled.
