I tried this after having a Pistachio dessert made the same way. I just love cherries and tried it this way. It is sweeter than the pistachio one and you really do need to taste it as you make it so it is right for you. I cook a lot by trial and very little measuring. Something I got from my father. It is quick and easy and under $10. Hope you like.

Ingredients

  • 1 jar maraschino cherries
  • 1 package small marshmallows
  • 1 - tub of cool whip
  • 1 package small package cherry jello gelatin

How To Make cherry fluff

  • Step 1
Cut cherries in half. I usually use 2 jars but it is each person's taste. Keep juice you will add a little bit at the end to make the color more red.
  • Step 2
In large bowl mix cool whip and dried cherry gelatin powder. Taste to make sure not to gritty or over powering.
  • Step 3
Add marshmallows and cherries to cool whip mix. Add 1/3 jar of cherry juice to give more of a red color. You can serve right away or refrigerate for half hour before serving to have the cool taste.
  • Step 4
Refrigerate leftovers. Stays good for 4 days.
