My son is all grown up now- never wanted to help me cook when he was young - the eating part wasn't a problem hehe. He 'text' me last night craving this dessert. So I gave him the recipe. He does like to cook now -but it's always best when mom makes it.

Ingredients
- 1 large can or 2 - 21 ounce cans cherry pie filling
- 1 box yellow or white cake mix
- 1 stick margarine (1/2) cup
- 3/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
How To Make cherry crunch

Step 1Put cherries in bottome of greased 13 x 9 pan. In separate bowl mix cake mix and butter until crumbly. Sprinkle on top of cherries. (sprinkle chopped nots on top op cake mixture if desired)

Step 2Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. This is really yummy served warm with ice cream on top. Enjoy!
