Making cheesecake just couldn't get easier! I got this recipe from a neighbor well over 40 years ago. It's been a hit on several occasions, parties and pot luck dinners. This is such a creamy, rich type of cheesecake, it's hard to believe what little time and effort actually goes into it.

prep time 10 Min
cook time 30 Min
method Bake
yield 8 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup sour cream (for topping)
  • 1 can cherry pie filling (or your favorite)
  • 1 - graham cracker pie crust (below)
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 20 crushed)
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted

How To Make cherry cheesecake pie

  • Step 1
Mix ingredients for pie crust and press into a 9 inch pie plate. (You can use store-bought, but this is so much better.)
  • Step 2
Beat the cream cheese, eggs, sugar & vanilla until smooth. Pour into a unbaked 9" graham cracker pie crust. Bake at 350'F. for 35 minutes or until firm. Cool.
  • Step 3
Spread the sour cream over the top (like frosting) and top with your favorite pie filling. (I use Comstock Cherry Pie Filling w/more fruit...works great!
