This is a great light dessert. You can vary the topping (like try blueberry pie filling) but my favorite is the cherry. You can also use fat-free ingredients. It looks impressive...no one will realize just how easy it is!

Ingredients

  • 1 - 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup confectioner's sugar
  • 1 - 8 oz. frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 - prepared angle food cake (14 oz.) cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 2 cans cherry pie filling (21 oz. each)

How To Make cherries in the snow

  • Step 1
    In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and confectioner's sugar; fold in whipped topping and cake cubes.
  • Step 2
    Spread evenly into ungreased 13 x 9 x 2 inch dish. Top with pie filling.
  • Step 3
    Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into squares.
