5 mediumgranny smith apples, peeled & cored, and sliced
1/2 clight brown sugar, lightly packed
1 call-purpose flour
3/4 cwhite granulated sugar
1 tspground cinnamon (feel free to use 2 if you love cinnamon!)
1 largeegg, beaten
2 Tbspbutter, melted
How to Make Cathy's Apple Crisp
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Peel, core & slice apples. Spray a 9" X 13" inch baking dish.
- Mix sliced apples and brown sugar until well coated. Place in prepared baking dish. In a bowl, mix together the flour, white sugar, cinnamon and salt. In a small bowl, beat together the melted butter and the egg. Stir into the flour mixture until it reaches a crumbly consistency. Spread evenly over apples. Bake in preheated oven (375 degrees) for 30 to 40 minutes or until the topping is golden and crisp.
- Serve hot (or warm) with a nice dollop of vanilla ice cream.
