Crockpot recipe. I have included the nutritional values. Our favorite thing during the fall to eat is a caramel apple. eing a diabetic, my sister couldnt have them. I found this recipe in a diabetic cook book and it is yummy.

Ingredients
- 4 large tart apples, cored
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar substitute
- 12 - hot cinnamon candies
- 4 tablespoons light, soft tub margarine
- 8 - caramel candies
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
How To Make caramel apples: diabetic friendly

Step 1Remove one half inch wide strip of peel off the top of each apple and place apples in crockpot. Pour apple juice over apples.

Step 2Fill the center of each apple with one T brown sugar, one quarter T brown sugar substitute, 3 hot cinnamon candies, one T margarine, and 2 caramels. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

Step 3Cook on low for four to six hors or until tender. Serve hot with juice from bottom of crockpot. You may add non fat whipped cream if you wish.
