Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 sticks butter, softened
- 2 packages cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp, sugar, divided
- 2 - large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 - apples...peeled, cored and finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- STREUSEL TOPPING
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup oats, quick cooking
- 1 stick butter, softened
- DRIZZLE WITH 1/2 CUP CARAMEL TOPPING (ANY ICE CREAM BRAND) OVER FINISHED BARS
How To Make caramel apple cheesecake bars

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2In a medium bowl, combine flour and brown sugar. Cut in butter until crumbly.

Step 3Line a 13x9x2 pan with foil and lightly spray with cooking spray. It helps to spray your hands as well to press the mixture evenly in the pan. Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.

Step 4In a large bowl, beat cream cheese with 1/2 cup sugar until smooth.

Step 5Then add eggs, one at a time until combines. Add vanilla, stir to combine. Pour over warm crust.

Step 6In a small bowl, stir together chopped apples, 2 tbsp. sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Spoon over cream cheese layer.

Step 7In another medium bowl, combine all streusel ingredients. Sprinkle over apple layer.

Step 8Bake for 30 minutes. Let cook for 10 minutes and drizzle with caramel.
