A dessert that's so good, you'll go back for seconds. Great any time of the year, but especially in Fall when apples are at their peak.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 2 packages cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tbs. sugar
  • 2 - large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 - granny smith apples(peeled, cored, and finely chopped)
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 jar caramel ice cream topping
  • STREUSEL TOPPING
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal, uncooked
  • 1 stick butter, room temperature

How To Make caramel apple cheesecake bars

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350 degrees and line a 9x13 pan with aluminum foil.
  • Step 2
    In a medium bowl, combine flour and brown sugar; cut in butter until crumbly. Press evenly into pan and bake for 15 min or until lightly browned.
  • Step 3
    In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time and stir in vanilla. Pour over crust.
  • Step 4
    In a small bowl, stir together apple pieces, 2 Tbs. sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Spoon evenly over cream cheese layer.
  • Step 5
    Streusel topping: Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and stir until well mixed. Sprinkle evenly over apple mixture.
  • Step 6
    Bake for 30 min or until filling is set. Drizzle with caramel topping and serve. (Can also be topped by a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.)
