campfire pies
I made these when I went camping with my family in Europe (the pie irons were easy to pack into the van, and it was a special treat for setting up the camp site) and as a Brownie Girl Scout. We always had the typical cherry, blueberry or apple as options back then. Now that there are so many other flavors available, I have found that I really enjoy a blackberry or peach campfire pie. Or my new favorite? A smear of key lime pie filling on one piece of bread with a plastic spoonful of strawberry pie filling on top. And as I learned recently, peanut butter and jelly isn't too bad either!
