crust pastry dough
3/4 c
raisins
1
egg, slightly beaten
1 tsp
vanilla
1/2 c
maple syrup
1/4 tsp
salt
1/4 c
shortening

How to Make Butter Tarts

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 425.
  • 2Roll out pastry dough. Cut into 4" rounds. Place in muffin cups.
  • 3Place raisins in cups.
  • 4Mix all other ingredients in bowl, then divide into cups.
  • 5Place muffin tin on bottom shelf of oven and cook 12-15 minutes until filling is set. Cool on wire racks.
