Ingredients
- 2 - crust pastry dough
- 3/4 cup raisins
- 1 - egg, slightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup shortening
How To Make butter tarts

Step 1Preheat oven to 425.

Step 2Roll out pastry dough. Cut into 4" rounds. Place in muffin cups.

Step 3Place raisins in cups.

Step 4Mix all other ingredients in bowl, then divide into cups.

Step 5Place muffin tin on bottom shelf of oven and cook 12-15 minutes until filling is set. Cool on wire racks.
