I have made this recipe since the early 60's. A Very Easy recipe, I made it often as My children were growing up.
This was a FAMILY FAVORITE.

It doesn't have Oats in it.

You can use Peaches or other fruits as well as Blueberries.

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

MIX THE FOLLOWING 4 INGREDIENTS TOGETHER

1 Cup
flour
1 Cup
sugar
1 tsp
baking powder
1 Tbs
cinnamon

ADD 1 EGG & STIR UNTIL CRUMBLY

6-8
large apples, peeled and sliced, or desired fruit
1/4 cup
melted butter

How to Make Budget Apple Crisp By Freda

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat Oven @ 350.
    Grease a 7X11 pan.
    Follow directions as above for the crumbly topping.
    Set aside.
  • 2Peel and slice Apples.
    Cover bottom of 7X11 pan with apples.
    Then spread crumbly mixture over apples
    Melt 1/4 C Butter.
    Drizzle over top of entire dish.
  • 3Bake @ 350 for 40 min.

    Serve Hot with Ice Cream, or Whipped Cream. . .!!
