Ingredients
- 8 or 10 medium tart apples
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 medium lemon zest, gratedd
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 stalk butter
- 1/2 pint good kentucky bourbon
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup oldo fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup whipping cream, whipped
How To Make bourbon apple crisp

Step 1Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Step 2Butter a 13 x 9 x2 pan

Step 3Fill pan with apples and sprinkle with sugar, lemon, zest, and nutmeg

Step 4Dot with butter and drissel bourbon all over.

Step 5Combine flour, baking powder, salt, rolled oats, brown sugar and 8 Tbl butter,1 tsp nutmeg, and cinnamon in a bowl. Mix with fingers. Pat down on apples

Step 6Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 mins.

Step 7Uncover and bake 20 mins more to brown top.

Step 8Remove from oven. Cool 15 mins. Cut into squares while still warm. Put into desert dishes and put whipped cream around not on top. Can add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle with more bourbon.
