tart apples
1/2 c
2 medium
lemon zest, gratedd
1 tsp
1 stalk(s)
1/2 pt
good kentucky bourbon
1 c
1/4 tsp
1 c
oldo fashioned rolled oats
1 c
brown sugar
1 tsp
ground cinnamon
1/2 c
whipping cream, whipped

How to Make Bourbon apple crisp


  • 1Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • 2Butter a 13 x 9 x2 pan
  • 3Fill pan with apples and sprinkle with sugar, lemon, zest, and nutmeg
  • 4Dot with butter and drissel bourbon all over.
  • 5Combine flour, baking powder, salt, rolled oats, brown sugar and 8 Tbl butter,1 tsp nutmeg, and cinnamon in a bowl. Mix with fingers. Pat down on apples
  • 6Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 mins.
  • 7Uncover and bake 20 mins more to brown top.
  • 8Remove from oven. Cool 15 mins. Cut into squares while still warm. Put into desert dishes and put whipped cream around not on top. Can add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle with more bourbon.
  • 9Serve
