Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    crisco shortening
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1
    egg beaten
  • 2 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 c
    drained blueberries
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 c
    butter

How to Make BLUEBERRY BUCKLE

Step-by-Step

  1. Cream shortening in bowl, add 1/2 cup sugar and egg Mix well. Sift 2 cups flour with salt and baking powder. add this to creamed shortening mixture. alternately with milk.
  2. Pour into greased 9inch round cake pan, sprinkle blueberries over batter. Combine remaining sugar, remaining flour and cinnamon in small bowl.
  3. cut in butter with pastry blender or two knives,until crumbly. Sprinkle over top of blueberries. Bake in 350 degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until cake is done.
