blackberry cobbler
This recipe was in Grandma W's recipe box. I never thought I liked blackberry, until I had a blackberry pie in a restaurant in WI. I posted that recipe to JAP as well, and enjoy this as another wonderful blackberry treat.

Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 bags frosen blackberries, unthawed (14 oz each)
- 1/2 package refrigerated piecrusts (15 oz pkg)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- - vanilla ice cream, optional
- - sugared piecrust sticks, optional
How To Make blackberry cobbler

Step 1Stir together sugar, flour, margarine and vanilla (1st 4 ingredients) in a large bowl. Stir in blackberries very gently until sugar mixture is crumbly. Spoon this mixture into lightly greased 11x7 dish.

Step 2Cut piecrust into 1/2 inch wide strips, arrange diagonally over blackberry mixture. Sprinkle top with 1 T sugar. Bake at 425 degrees 45 min or until crust is golden brown and center bubbly. Serve with ice cream and sugared piecrust sticks if desired.

Step 3SUGARED PIECRUST STICKS: cut 1 piecrust into 1/2 inch thick strips. Sprinkle with 1 T sugar, place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 425 degrees 6-8 min or until golden brown.
