Ingredients
- 1 box vanilla wafers cookies
- 1 1/2 sticks margarine or un-salted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 sticks margarine or un-salted butter
- 1 box powdered (confectioners) sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 - eggs
- 2 to 3 - bananas
- 1 large can crushed pineapple, drained well
- 9 ounces cool whip
- 1 small jar marachino cherries, drained well
- 3/4 cup pecans, chopped

Step 1Crust: Mix together the first 3 ingredients and press into the bottom of a 9 X 13 glass dish.

Step 2Filling: Beat together, for 15 minutes, the next 4 ingredients. Spread the filling over the wafer crust. Slice the bananas and place on top of the filling. Next, spread the can of drained pineapple.Spread the container of Cool Whip over the pineapple. Sprinkle over the top the chopped pecans. Top with the jar of cherries. Refrigerate.

Step 3Graham cracker may be substituted in place of the wafers. Additional options: flaked coconut, caramel and/or chocolate ice cream toppings.
