banana rum fritters
This is a quick and tasty dessert! I found this recipe on a cooking site, posted by a cook named Lor. I tried it and liked it very much! I'm posting it the way I made it. This would also be delicious if you served it with ice cream!

Ingredients
- 3 - bananas
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon rum of your choice
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 4 tablespoons milk
- 8 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- - powdered sugar-to sprinkle on top
- - corn oil for frying
How To Make banana rum fritters

Step 1Mash bananas until they are creamed.

Step 2Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon.

Step 3Add milk, vanilla, rum and bananas.Mix well.

Step 4Heat about 1/2 inch of oil in a skillet on medium heat.

Step 5Dip a large spoon into oil and scoop batter into the hot oil in the frying pan.

Step 6Deep fry until they are brown and crisp on the edges.

Step 7Drain on paper towels and serve with confectioners' sugar sprinkled on top and ice cream on the side.
