banana boats, my way
Every year in camp the girls ask for Banana Boats. Okay, they are good, but when you eat them every year, they get to the point you never want to hear banana boat again. (ok, not really, but close). I decided to make mine with apple slices in foil instead of banana. I have also taken whatever candy pieces or ice cream topping to stuff inside the banana for something different. Be creative...maybe next time I'll try apples?

How To Make banana boats, my way
-
Step 1Take a banana, slice inner curve about 2/3 down. Push ends together to open a pocket. Fill with mini chocolate chips and mini marshmallows. Wrap in foil, put in edge of camp fire to melt. Eat with a spoon out of the peel. Tortoise’s note: Instead of the banana, I prefer to chop up a granny smith apple, and heat on the fire in a foil pack.
