- 1/4 cup dark rum
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons apricot preserves
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 4 large ripe bananas, peeled and cut lengthwise into halves
How To Make baked bananas with rum apricot sauce

Step 1Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2Mix together rum, brown sugar, apricot preserves, butter and lemon juice in a bowl and stir well.

Step 3Place banana halves, cut side down, in one layer in a shallow (ungreased) baking dish - banana halves should fit snugly together.

Step 4Spread the rum mixture evenly over the bananas. Bake for 30 minutes or until tender. Serve immediately.
