Ingredients
- 6 large apples, peeled, cored, and sliced (see notes)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger or ginger paste
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- 1 tablespoon water (see notes)
How To Make baked apples

Step 1Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or an equivalent-sized baking dish for easier cleanup.

Step 2Toss the sliced apples in a large bowl with lemon juice, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cardamom. Sprinkle with the sea salt and corn starch and toss to coat again.

Step 3Spread the apples in the prepared baking dish. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.

Step 4Remove the foil, stir in 1-2 tablespoons of water, and cook for another 10-15 minutes or until your desired tenderness.
