This apple tart brings all the delicious tastes of fall together easily using frozen puff pastry and a couple of simple tricks. So tasty and simple, yet everyone will think you’ve invested hours into making it.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1/4 cup apricot peach jam
  • 2 large apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon cold water
  • 1 tablespoon cold butter

How To Make apple tart

  • Step 1
    Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Step 2
    Gently roll out the puff pastry on a piece of parchment paper. Move the rolled puff pastry to a large baking sheet using the parchment paper. Spread the jam over the top, leaving a 1/2-1 inch border around the edge.
  • Step 3
    Arrange the cut apples over the jam.
  • Step 4
    In a small bowl, stir the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. In another small bowl, whisk the egg and water together.
  • Step 5
    Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture over the apples and brush the edges of the puff pastry with the egg wash.

    Dot the top with small butter cubes.

    Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown on the edges.
