apple strudel bake/ apple crisp
This is often called apple strudel although the real strudel is made with a thin layer of dough encasing the apples or other fruit or cheese before it is baked.Like an apple wrapped in dough, baked. This recipe is the modern way if you call a 50 year old recipe modern. Many of you and your mothers probably made it this way though- because it was quick and easy and in these modern days mothers had an outside of the home workplace and less time in the kitchen so the recipe got shortcuts. I call this Apple Crisp. Many still call it Apple Strudel. I will post grandma's German recipe later.
