I've been making these pastries for years and always, everyone loves them. They're little bites of fall flavor.

Ingredients

1 c
packed, light brown sugar
1/2 c
flour
1 tsp
cinnamon
1/8 tsp
nutmeg
2 large
granny smith apples, peeled and diced
1 c
chopped pecans
1 Tbsp
butter, cut into pieces
1
sheet, ( 1/2 pkg,) pepperidge farms puff pastry
powdered sugar for sprinkling

How to Make Apple-pecan pastry bites

Step-by-Step

  • 1Heat the oven to 375. Spray a baking sheet w/ cooking spray. In bowl, stir together brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add apples, pecans and butter. Toss to coat.
  • 2Unfold pastry sheet onto lightly floured surface. Roll out to a 15" x 10" rectangle. Brush the pastry lightly w/ water. Spoon apple mix onto pastry down the middle of long side of pastry, to w/in 2" of the edges.
  • 3Starting at the long side, roll up jelly-roll style. Cut into 12 slices. Place slices, cut side down onto baking sheet. Bake 15 mins or until golden brown. Cool 10 mins. Sprinkle w/ powdered sugar.
