- 2 - granny smith apples
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- 2/3 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon peel
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- - oil for frying
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
How To Make apple fritters

Step 1Core apples, cut each apple crosswise into 6 slices. In lg bowl, combine flour, powdered sugar, lemon peel and baking powder. In another bowl, whisk egg, milk and 1 tsp oil until combined. Add egg mix to flour mix, beat until smooth. Dip apple rings into batter, draining off excess. Fry 2-3 fritters at a time in hot oil, until browned. Drain on paper towels. In small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Dip fritters into sugar-cinnamon mix.
