1Core apples, cut each apple crosswise into 6 slices. In lg bowl, combine flour, powdered sugar, lemon peel and baking powder. In another bowl, whisk egg, milk and 1 tsp oil until combined. Add egg mix to flour mix, beat until smooth. Dip apple rings into batter, draining off excess. Fry 2-3 fritters at a time in hot oil, until browned. Drain on paper towels. In small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Dip fritters into sugar-cinnamon mix.
