How To Make apple dumplings
-
Step 1Cook all ingredients, except pie crust and apples in a pan until sugar and butter is melted and then set aside. Cut sheet of pie crust in to 4 equal squares. Place an apple in center of each pie crust square. Put 2 tsp. sugar, a little cinnamon and a dab of butter in center of each apple. Bring corners of dough up over the apple.
-
Step 2Place in baking dish large enough to accommodate the dumplings. Pour sauce over them and bake at 375 degrees for about 45-50 minutes or until apples are done. These may also be frozen.
-
Step 3The caramel sauce is delicious and when you serve the apples, there is enough sauce on the bottom of the pan to spoon on top of dumplings.
