This easy and so very delicious recipe was given to me by my cousin. It's become a favorite of the women in my garden club and Bunco group who, of course, make it, get rave reviews and requests for the recipe. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Ingredients

  • 2 cans pillsbury crescent rolls
  • 2 - granny smith apples peeled and sliced into 8 wedges
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 sticks unsalted butter
  • 1 can mountain dew, sprite or 7-up soda
  • - cinnamon

How To Make apple dumplings

  • Step 1
    Peel and slice each apple into 8 wedges. Wrap each wedge in one crescent roll triangle, beginning with the wide end of the triangle. Place the dough wrapped apple wedges, seam side down, in a 9x13 baking dish that has been lightly sprayed with Pam. Melt the butter and sugar together in a saucepan and pour the mixture over the crescent wrapped apple wedges. Pour 1 can of Mountain Dew over the wedges then sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 - 50 minutes. Serve with ice cream or whip cream.
