From my grandmoms kitchen: Variations I have found I love with this are also adding oats and organic flax seed ( about 2 T to the mix and less on the flour make half n half) also adding dried cherries, or raisins and pecans with a carmel or hard sauce.

Ingredients
- 4 cups apples ( i like mixing sweet and tart )
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup butter
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- - optional 1/4-1/3 rolled oats
- - optional: 2 t ground flax seed
- - optional: 1/4 cup dried cherries and pecans
How To Make apple crunch

Step 1Put all the sliced or chopped apples into the bottom of an ungreased pan.

Step 2Add the water over apples.

Step 3Sprinkle the cinnamon over the apples.

Step 4mix sugar, butter, flour and put over apples ( if you are adding the oats mix in at this time and put the cherries and pecans in now over the cinnamon if you are adding them)

Step 5Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.
