4 ctart cooking apples, sliced
3/4 cpacked brown sugar
1/2 call-purpose flour
1/2 cquick-cooking or old-fashioned oats
1/3 cbutter or margarine, softened
3/4 tspground cinnamon
3/4 tspground nutmeg
·top with cream or ice cream, if desired
How to Make Apple Crisp
- *Heat oven to 375*F. Grease bottom and sides of 8-inch square pan with shortening (I used cooking spray)
- *Spread apples in pan.
- *In medium bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, oats, margarine, cinnamon, and nutmeg
remaining ingredients until well mixed
- *Sprinkle over apples
- *Bake about 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown and apples are tender when pierced with a fork.
